Show Off your Espresso Machine
« on: September 10, 2007, 06:11:06 PM »
While watching the Bears vs. Chargers game this weekend with Shaun and Harry, Harry was trying to show us his espresso machine online. He also asked a question, "Do we have a thread going where you can show off your machine?". I said,"No, but that's a good idea."

So Here is that thread.

The only way I'm gonna be able to say I've got the current nicest machine is to be the first to post a picture.  Here's my Gaggia Carezza; steam wand swapped with a Ranchilo Silvia wand, added 4 hole tip, too.  portafilter semi-naked.

Now don't laugh, but I couldn't take the stock look of most e61 machines and had this beast electro-plated with copper and gold (gold didn't cost that much more than brass, and it's very temp stable/food safe)... The old chrome just clashed with the brick wall.  The Kony is next!

Yes, wide angle lens. Can you say supercalifagilisticexpealidocious?

Edited for GCBC english teacher Jeffo: supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, I mispelled one letter...man that is some skill just off the top of my head.

Here is my humble little set-up:  Carezza & Lux.  I'm envious of these other guys!  However, I feel pretty good because I know that I can pull outstanding shots at about half the price!

Gaggia Carezza - a cheap (~$200), but IMHO very good entry level machine.  Same goes for the grinder - Nemox Lux

;D ;D ;D - If I had some GCBC cups to show off, believe me - I would!  That's really not a bad idea.  Anyone up for a group buy of some high quality GCBC espresso cups???

Spelled it wrong.

Not to hijack the thread, but I believe it's high time some GCBC merchandise came out.

We had some custom art mugs not too long ago, and we have a logo that was chosen plus quite a number more to choose from. So go for it let me know what you find.

Here's my toys.  Alex Izzo Mark II, La San Marco LSM90 grinder (eBay find) for espresso and a Solis Maestro Plus (CG Christmas Giveaway prize) for everything else.

Before anyone asks, the Toriani syrups are for my daughter.  She uses them with club soda to make Italian Sodas.  ::)

Sure Ron, we believe you....  ::) - Really though, I tried using those same syrups once for a guy at work who said he only drank flavored coffee!?!?  I ended up drinking some of it also  (just to test it out, honestly) and I almost gagged it was so bad  :-X :-X :-X.  To each his own I guess....

P.S. - that's an awsome set-up you've got there too!
