Closed: Canadian road show: Behmor Brazen Coffee Brewer
« on: October 08, 2012, 07:38:57 AM »
I am looking for 10 Canadians to participate in the road show:

* Need 10 people to participate
* Each person gets the brewer for one week and then passes on to the next person
* One lucky person will get to keep the brewer.  To determine the winner, we wil use first Lotto Canada 6/49 number that is less or equal to 40 from the first draw after I close the show.  If number will be 2, 12, 22 or 32, Shootersm will keep the brewer.  I will be the winner for numbers 1, 11, 21 or 31.
* Cost is $21 per person

We will try to route the Gort to minimize shipping.

Another GCBC Road Show: http://www.greencoffeebuyingclub.com/index.php?topic=14526.0

I bought the brewer, tax and shipping free: http://www.idrinkcoffee.com/Behmor_Brazen_Coffee_Brewer_p/beh-brazen.htm

Any interest?

1. smico - happy winner
2. shootersm

I will send email to everyone, and hopefully we will end up with 10 people.  Just looking at raving reviews around here, and I can't wait.

Hi Smico,

What if we're are not 10?
we raise the individual cost I guess,

if we're only 2, I'd say you keep it, and I try it when I pickup some coffee

I posted about the road show on the CG thread on GORT.  You should get some hits.

There were quite a few road shows I wanted to participate in so I thought this will be booked fast.
I have just sent 47 PMs so if this doesn't help, I will be happy owner of ultimate coffee brewer.
I am very excited about it.

Im’ surprised not many joined.

I am very lazy, hence using Breville YouBrew for morning coffee and as heavenly smelling alternative to an alarm clock.
Is it ideal? NO! But it is MUCH improved machine over Cuisinart DBG900BCC.
Adjustable grinding dose and steeping time.  Virtually no grinding chute (less than half an inch)…
The biggest drawback is that grind adjustment requires disassembly (I can provide with guidance if someone is interested).

Absolutely!!, all you have to do is follow the discussion board posts, Re: Now we know what GORT is (Behmor BraZen Brewer) http://www.coffeegeek.com/forums/coffee/machines/577567 in the Machines and Brewing Methods forum., & Re: Technivorm KGBT741 or other suggestions ? http://www.coffeegeek.com/forums/coffee/machines/595954 in the Machines and Brewing Methods forum.

It's so good that I've packed away my commercial BUNN VPR-APS airpot brewer!

Very good, thank you for the info.
Mine has just arrived to the door, I can't wait to get home.
It looks like road show format is not very popular among GCBC Canadians, or people just don't get how hot this item is.
I will try one more road show with Kone 3, and then I will give up.

We are enjoying Yirga Idido WP, and my wife said keep it...

I used Yakster's settings:
50g coffee
900g water
45 second presoak
204 F

Vary clean, enjoyable cup, let me fill up again.

Shootersm, you can borrow Brazen for a week.

I am kind of sad that roadshow didn't work out.
I will try once more and give up.

Frankly, I was surprised that there were enough US members that wanted to roadshow the Brazen.  I figured most interested parties would order the Brazen rather than wait for it in the roadshow...

I think I favor 202 more than 204. Still working on mapping temps to coffees, one pot at a time.

Yup that would be me. I couldn't wait. I'm am very glad I bought this brewer.

This week I've done 20 or 21 pots through the Brazen. I decided right off the bat that 204 was a bit too high for me after 2 pots of washed centrals. I've been doing the washed centrals at 202F (mostly). Most Africans (washed) I've been doing at 200F. Naturals at 199F. Seems to work well for me, although I really doubt this thing can make a bad cup( if the coffee is good).
