Since there isn't one already, maybe we can sticky this.
I have 2 points to add.
1. once the green beans have been added to the drum, rotate the drum a half dozen time for small beans or broken beans to fall thru before putting it in for roasting.
2. I clean the chaff after every roast. When doing so, after I brush out the chaff from the back, I open the door about 1 1/2 in or so and let it slam shut a cpl times, doing this either the wind or vibration, makes the chaff stuck in the back drop down so it can be cleaned out. This I think would aid in elimination of a possible chaff fire due to buildup.
