measuring multiple temps
« on: March 10, 2014, 04:19:39 PM »
I've been wanting to get into automatic datalogging of my roasts for some time now.
I found this unit.

For those of you who have experience in this area, is there a cheaper or better way to obtain data from 2 thermocouples that can be fed into either a PC, or memory card. I also looked at some raspberry Pi stuff, but I don't know that I have that much interest in building something.

Any other ideas? I also need to get over to homeroasters.org and see what's new there.

Well, I use a 2020 but, that's not exactly cheaper.   That is not a bad price really, but configuring it might be a booger.  Make sure it is compatible with whatever program you are going to use to log the data.  You don't want to start having to get into mV to mA to Cat5 to USB etc conversions.

I'm not sure I know what a 2020 is.
