Great review, I have been through a million different travel mugs. I always seem to find some kind of problem. This one would probably keep the coffee too hot?

It keeps coffee hot!

There is no doubt about that.

One of the guys at work that partakes in my daily coffee ritual has this mug. He beats the crap out of it and it still looks good. Also, he constantly complains about having to wait for his coffee to cool so he can drink it, so it has great insulation too. I've been meaning to get one for the longest time, but I've got about a million travel mugs so not a needed expense right now.

Also a downside is that a pour-over won't fit inside the rim, I don't know if anyone would want to use it this way.

I might have to try this on the boat.  I used to love the Nissan Thermos bottles but past several years their quality has really gone downhill and they don't seem to last very long.

If you did that it would be too hot to drink for 10 hours hahaha!

Hey John, great review!

If you want some serious heat retention you should check out the Thermos "The Rock® Beverage Bottle". If you don't open up and break the seal it will keep your coffee hot for 24 hours.

I had the Rock before. It was good but the Zojirushi is way better by design. The drinking spout alone is pretty impressive after you use it and see how it functions.

If I needed more capacity I'd consider getting 2 of the zogi's and just don't open the second one until needed.

You should strongly consider getting one.  I'm confident you will dig it.  8)
