Post by: milowebailey on July 24, 2008, 01:27:24 PM
Does anyone know anything about Faema grinders?

I have a chance to pick some up (probably for real cheap).

thanks

Looks to be of a sturdy industrial build ... most likely by a third party for Faema ... if so probably do good duty for you.

My 2 cents.

Depends what really cheap is, but any two identical Italian grinders sounds like a strong buy.  Most important is to find out if you can get burrs for them.

You might check these guys:

I'm pretty sure that those are the same as Simonelli-branded grinders, and are made by (or also branded as) La San Marco.  Some of the parts can be hard to find, but they are good quality.

How cheap?  Are there more than two??   I know a guy that has one (that looks just like that) and would certainly be down with one for spare parts...

I'm checking on the price, but it a cafe going out of business.

It wasn't easy, but I got rid of the doser on one of those.
