Ain't she purdy?

OK, I give up.  What is this huge thing called?  Brand name, not your nickname?

Since I last posted on this thread, I have replaced the burrs on the Rossi and changed it over to the Rossi automatic grind collar which gives it an 80 step grind adjustment (up from 48).

Today, I adjusted the grind to get a 28 sec 2.5 ounce shot from my Elektra Microcasa Semiautomatica. I had a full Guiness effect with crema that lasted a pretty long time. Flavor was what highly fruited and balanced. This was a pretty fruity blend I have been drinking as drip. So that carried well into the shot.

A pretty satisfying experience. :)

I like the mod you did, it makes the RR45 just that much nicer when it comes to dialing the grind in for a particular bean. Like I tell anyone who'll listen; make your last grinder the first one you buy: There's just no substitute for a quality grinder, and spending money for less is a waste.

After you've gotten a Super Jolly, Major, MD50/MD80, ZIP, or RR45, what's the point,  unless it's for eye candy? Not that that's not justification enough for me!

Had one - sold it: it's just another grinder! My next grinder will be a Swift, or I'll keep what I've got.

What, and pay full price? One of the key principles in acquiring things; never - ever - consider paying retail, nor even close to retail!

I see there is a Rossi 45 "On Demand". I wonder If I could take off the doser and replace it with the OD dispenser?

I can only imagine what they'd sock you for that dispenser, assuming they'll sell just that and that it'd fit on your grinder.  My guess is that it would be cost-prohibitive.

For the price of the OD dispenser, you could buy B|Mazzer's Mini.

Milo and I both modded our Rossi RR45's into doserless models.  I'll show you next time you're over.
