I just roasted a pound of Dave's Sumatra ACE in my Huky (Susan made me buy one with her...she is a bad influence :)) ).  With the cyclone and a wide open shed door, venting was more than adequate.  I still might connect the Huky exhaust to the TF venting though.

Congrats Cammie! She looks sweet! Living where you do and the size of the load in the Huky just opening the door should work great! Have fun with the new toy!

Thanks Jim.  Although I am pleased with my electric roasters, I am thoroughly enjoying roasting with gas.  The Huky is giving me a chance to explore before I make a decision about a larger gas roaster.  I bought both drums and motors and the curved exhaust pipe as well so I will try the native configuration of the roaster soon.

It was an eBay buy.  I wanted a smaller steel one (very hard to find) so I grabbed this one even though it was a bit pricey.  Here's the link to the listing:

Although all three listed are sold; I suspect the seller has access or can manufacture more if you contact him.

SWEAT Susan!

I did get my roaster installed today! 3 hour project to get the hole cut in the wall, 220 electric run from the breaker box, gas line run, and BANG! I'm working on trying to make my pics smaller to be able to post,,,,, I've tried twice and to no success yet. I wish I was a computer nerd at times! Patti has tried to work her magic on the phone and I tried with an app on my computer.... DUH, no success yet. I'll keep trying and if all else fails I'll send to Cammie to post.

In a nut shell, the pipe is double walled through the wall. Nice defuser on the outside as a vent/hood. The installers did a PROFESSIONAL job! I am very impressed. Safe and sound in Freeport, OHIO! I roasted three 2.5# batches and I have a lot to learn! Still tooooooo fast! The last roast was 11 minutes and the rate of rise in the temp was steady. I believe my solid steel drum is touchy!!

I thought Patti did all the roasting.
