Technivorm 741 Refurb $193.00
« on: October 12, 2009, 03:12:55 PM »
Boyd's coffee has refurb's Technivorm 741 for $193.00 which includes shipping. Hey, I ordered one and for $193.00 it is worth it. It does make better coffee than my Capresso MT 500. The flavor is close to my French press but the TV is a cleaner cup. My Opinion... My wife see a big difference in the TV over the Capresso. It does have a 90 day warranty and after that if it breaks you can always send the unit back with $40 (includes shipping) and Boyd's will send you another unit.

I don't think I would spend $265 on a TV  but under $200 it is worth it....if you are in a hurry to make coffee on the weekdays to get out the door the Technivorm for $193.00 is worth it. (IMO)

Tom...

We are in a serious analyze every decision phase right now.

We have agreed to ask each other the phrase "Need vs. Want" on everything in our lives...(everyone should try it for a month....we are on month 3)

My discussion went like this....

"We need a new coffee maker..this is the one I have always wanted" and her response was "We need a $10 carafe for our $20 HSN Melitta Clairity"

 :-\

SHe is correct...but I still WANT&NEED one of these really bad.

LOL!

thanks, I will keep plugging... I will tell her your story, we call that the "Similar story close" in my biz.

Ha!

Bo good luck...Christmas is around the corner & the TV would make a nice present for any wife. >:D

If you order a refurb make sure you ask for the Nine Hole Spray Head ( newer) instead of the 1 hole spray head (older) this will help you get a newer unit.  8)

Tom

Standard head in rear, 9 hole in front

BUT...

Does your 9 hole spray head make ANY difference. When I observe mine, the water just dribbles out along the metal and forms one stream anyway.

Looks like a dribbling tap NOT a shower spray. I have both head units and they are cosmetic in any real difference.

Curious to know how yours works... can you let me know, please?

Just drips I don't think it helps that much...the point I wanting to make was that asking for a 9 hole spray head you might get a newer unit
