As a former owner of a 2.5kg electric roaster, I'll pipe in here too.
I had a very similar situation with my roaster after about 18 months of use. Motor and fan would come on, as would the 1K heating element. Once I kicked on the bridged 2K element -snap- went the breaker, after melting the internal fuse of course! I found out one of the elements had burned through and was creating a short. Looked like a small pin hole, but I could def see it with the naked eye. Pull out the multi-meter and check all those elements is my suggestion.
Ordered 3 new elements, replaced them all and it was back up and running.
My machine was 220V - I'm really surprised yours is only 110...
