Suggestion: Let's buy one (I will be glad to do it). We will rotate the handpresso around among whomever chips in. At the end of the rotation, I will randomly select winner via http://random.org. Ron L had done this with a set of tampers. All got to try a bunch, no one individual felt the pain.
If 10 of us, $8.86 each (unit, shipping from Idaho, Paypal), etc. plus your cost of shipping it to the next person. As well, we can do our reviews and post them as it wends it away around the country.

Wonder if there should be a limit to participants? There might be 100 @ $.75 and that would be a very used prize in the end :-\. Just a suggestion.

OK, let's try this on for size. First 10 folks, or next Friday noon, whichever comes first.

If that seems appropriate, I would ship to John F August 22nd. Suggest about a 7-10 day trial period, that permits each of us to play with it over a weekend. Hold the $ for now until we agree on a number. Regardless, closes out Friday noon if we haven't achieved 10.

Thanks though, just sit tight until we get the 10 so I know the denominator with which to divide. I think it's a good number and we will hit it this weekend.
NB for Petros: This doesn't count to my toy total unless I win the www.random.org drawing (to be observed by a motley fine group of folk on August 21st)

One question: I know it says that it uses E.S.E. pods. Is there any way to use our own coffee in it ???? If not, I guess we each need to order some pods to test it out? Anyone know of any good pods? Illy maybe? Never used the things before. Can you make your own?? I know, more than one question...... ::)

I say let's do both. Two reviews/contests, two/three months apart, ~$10 per. I think I can budget that in! ;) By the time the first one makes the rounds, the next one will be coming in. Perfect timing! I say.

I am not really too interested in the pod version but I won't back out.... put me in for both if we do that and/ or sign me up for the next one when it comes out.

This is expected to hit the shores in Jan. On Dec 1st, check back. At that time, I will accept payments of $12.67 ($12 plus PayPal). First 10 paid will be in. We will 'mail it on,' each having it for about 1 weekend. I will use Random.org to establish the order of shipping as well as who the lucky winner is once the Handpresso has made the rounds.
We are awaiting the model that uses freshly ground coffee rather than the current pod model.
