Cheap coffee gadgets

Found these cheapo coffee gadgets at a bargain shop here in my small Third World city that sells mostly Chinese products. Price tags, divide by 43 for $$$ value.

Of course I don't have to waste money on these cheap thingies, right?  :D

Sorry to disappoint you ...  ;D  But yeah, tempting. I heard the syphon is a close copy to one of those Harios. At least that's the most affordable of them all...

And probably the only one that would make decent coffee, too.

Mx Ondo makes the Hommer and Severin look like toys - Mx Ondo has a 3 anos warranty, is ESE pod capable, and is has silver accented plastic - all for only R2,999...

The lamp in the first photo looks nice too  :D

The label on the syphon is in Traditional Chinese, suggesting a Taiwan source, but they got the characters for "Syphon" mixed up -- Simple Phon-sy Kettle?!?

The liquid in the lower globe sure does not look appealing to me.  It may look like a Hario, but I wonder how long the glass and plastic will last.
