I have one from last year as a backup.. guess I should try it and see if its worth it..

I pulled that Aldi T/O out of the box and roasted 14 oz of Costa Rica from peter.. unmodified I set the heat at 500deg preheated the roaster to 350deg then added the eans.. reached 300 deg around 4 minutes.. and turned the heat off at 351 deg.. then back up to 500deg when the temp started to show signs of dropping at 364 deg.. reached 425 by 15 minutes
I can't remember if my modified T/O bypasses the t-stat??? the t-stat doesn't tun off the heat when I roast and the Aldi one tops out at 500deg (not bean temp) and turns on and off... this worked out well for the C.R. I roasted today.. but maybe a problem on a more humid day or bean..
