Bring your espresso machine to work in 2013
« on: January 01, 2013, 11:11:05 AM »
So, since 2013 is bring your espresso machine to work*, I'll be bringing my La Peppina in.  I'll probably have to make a cozy for it to fly under the radar.

*This may be something I made up today on Twitter.

If what you've done at work so far hasn't made a big flippin' blip in the screen, you should be safe pulling some shots with the La Peppina.  ;D

Espresso machine is easy... I just don't have an "extra" grinder that's worthy of espresso.

I've been pulling espresso shots at work for quite a few months now.

I've even made the espresso shots for customers.

They've commented on the fact that the shots are good without sugar.

Been thinking about doing this, but have the same problem as Milowebailey--no extra grinder. And I'd have to share with the teachers who use the break room. (I'll share my coffee, but not my machine. It would be like sharing my toothbrush.)  :o

Haha! I was pulling 4 shots a day with a Silvia and Rocky in my server room for a while, just kicked up memtest on my big boy 910's and let the fans cover it up.

Everyone figured it out when 4 or more people would come out with coffee cups, back to the aero and skerton...

That's like saying a handpresso makes a latte isn't it?

I keep a hario kit at the office...#2 cone, skeleton grinder, and an electric kettle.  It's a lot less conspicuous than an espresso machine

I've thought about bringing the Pavoni to work and having a proper coffee break.
But I hesitate for two reasons.
people would just think I'm that much crazier.
I don't want someone mess up the machine or grinder when I'm not around.

We have a Saeco Super Auto at work and it just gets abused by everyone.  Last time it was fixed, it came back pulling 90 second single shots.

Hence my server room that used to have restricted badge access, then my vacation screwed that all up. Power outage, now nearly everyone has access. Had to take my machine home and go back to the skerton and ap.
