Giottos Rocket Blower as grinder cleaner

I thought there was already a thread for this, but I can't seem to find it.  I've been using a Giottos large rocket blower to clean the chute of my Vario grinder (and another at work for my hand grinder).

Today I added a grind catcher to avoid blowing grinds all over the counter using salad dressing cups found at Smart & Final.  Works great.

I scored the large model too, and have to say it does well on the grinder's chute and doser.  Next time I use it I'll try blowing into the burrs while the grinder's running.  And I have to schedule the grinder blowout on a kitchen floor cleaning day when I have my vac out; the Rocket makes a mess, which adds to the fun of using it.

Ha! I use my Rocket (purchased after reading yakster's HB thread on it) to clean out the LIDO--and, yes, I do it over the sink.

Godd idea Chris.
I got mine few weeks ago.
It works very well on Pharos and Vario.
I will probably use it more often with this mod.

I started using the giotto it for my sj to clean the chute but it goes everywhere so I went back to the brush. Your mod is an awesome idea, I'll try it soon for sure!

I picked one of these from Amazon for ~9 shipped (Prime member). Neat little gadget and works well to blow out the Mazzer and irritate the cats.

You could always upgrade for a lot more money to something that will really blow up a coffee dust storm, the rechargeable O2 Hurricane.

Someone actually posted on H-B that the O2 Hurricane is a bust, I should have never mentioned it.

Looked up the O2 Hurricane on Amazon, and reviews say it has less pressure than air cans. Read the one from the computer technician, it can't blow dust from a CPU heat sink and from power supplies. He needs to air cans for that. The Youtube is highly exaggerated.

Yeah ... I just read the reviews on Amazon.com and they were less than convincing that it was a must have item.
