I have been toying with it lately. It seems like a good way to single dose but the wdt steps in the prep still don't make it perfect.i would love a grinder that I can grind right into the basket, level, tamp and pull with a single dosing mode.

Use one for 8 month now - couldn't be happier. Very solid performer.
I applied 3M mounting tape to the bottom perimeter for semi-permanent installation on a marble counter. That gives me single-hand operation.
This grinder does require some break-in. It started at 60-65 revolution for a 18g dose back in January, now it's down to 20-24 revolution for a 16g dose with significant reduction in effort. Taste profile does improve quite a bit as well.
WDT or stirring grounds is unavoidable with HG-One. I grind into basket with a funnel (similar to OE funnel), then stir using a small cocktail whisk.
Static - had two occurrences with Guat only at earlier stages.
Dialing in/adjustment - piece of cake; retention - zero; clean-up/maintenance - non existent (nothing to clean or maintain)

(Paired with Londinium...)

I have been grinding into the tumbler, stick a whisk in there and circle it 2-3 times, put it over the pf, remove the doohickey, shake, tamp.  It's not a big deal.

This morning, just for laughs, ground directly into the pf, shook to level, tamped, and had a decent shot -- two months ago, that would've squirted me in the eye and stained my shirt from the spritzing, so it took some use before I could do it, 5-10 pounds or so.

The TiN coated burrs are quite easy to turn.  However, it takes more than a few turns to get through 16-18g (60-80 revs or so).  The first couple weeks it was well over 100.  Got old real quick.  Thank goodness for electricity.

Sssshhhhh... don't let the Grindmonster know I have one, it might eat me.

Is this related to the grinders that were made by that Audio company? The name escapes me but they were super expensive...
