Portafilter Funnel, Orphan Espresso
« on: December 07, 2009, 03:43:38 PM »
Doug crafts these at his shop in Troy, Idaho.  Ordered Sat morn, on the porch this afternoon.

I use a doserless Macap with a needle to stir the grounds in the 58mm PF on the Silvia.  This rocks for my set-up, grinding right into the PF.  He calls this color 'crema.'

I don't know about the funnels, but those turned portafilter handles would look good with my new machine. I wonder if Doug used my idea in making those funnels?

What's it called and how much does it cost?

I use a stainless steel canning funnel, but that is definitely classier and would make a great gift...

Now, y'all know that I give Tex credit for everything I've learned from him, but this one....I came up with myself.
And just for the record, my funnel looks a whole lot better than his does.....:-))))

If you change your name again can it be something about Susan?

This Gompas business is very distracting...It's like a cross between Grandpa and compass and even as I know it's you I get confused every time.

Not that we get to vote on usernames but if we did I would.  ;)
