Well, I've gotten much better at the microfoam thing. Far from latte art material, but improving. Open up the steamer on this machine and it takes all of about 10 seconds to steam 8 or 10 ounces of milk...yikes!

I would guess I have pulled at least 100 doubles in the past 5 or 6 days. I am giving Glacier's machine a workout. I have been sampling about a zillion blend possibilities for a new group of customers. I had a blend already that I was reasonably happy with, but I have eliminated one of the coffees from my offering as I go all organic. After sampling way too many shots I have reached one conclusion: as a straight espresso drinker, I much prefer Sumatra-based (or at least a high percentage) blends over Brazil-based blends. That might change if I had other Brazil's at my disposal, but as of right now, using the Poco Fundo I have on hand, I'm all about the Sumatra.

Shep

How bout a picture of that set up and a resulting shot of coffee Nirvana as proof to the group.

I miss that bad boy some days...bad.

I am so glad someone got it that would use it and appreciate it

Bo

My espresso machine is in the witness protection program, attempting to preserve its dignity.

Too late, I say.

I pondered publicly shaming my moka pot, too. Though somehow I still don't think it is quite as bad as this.

I feel so much freedom from outing myself sometimes.

Sometimes.

I'm still waiting for John's modded Gaggia Carezza to make it's first appearance. C'mon John, show us what you've got so far!  8)

BIG improvement - going from the Alexia to a Classic. Curious about the Alexia; I thought it had an internal heating element? I didn't realize you had to use an external heat source - that must create problems?  ;D

C'mon Gal, make a commitment to just one of those things and move on!  ;D

BTW: Do any of them work?

Well, if you think about it it makes sense - two single purpose appliances married into a multi-function system! Pure genius!
