Nemox Lux Burrs?
« on: July 26, 2010, 10:46:18 AM »
Does anyone know a source to buy new conical burrs for a Nemox Lux espresso grinder?  I've come up empty in my search so far.  If I'm not mistaken, its the same burr set that the Ascaso Mini uses.  Any help would be appreciated...

I have tracked down the parts company for that grinder. They are in New Jersey. Let me get a little more info and you should be good to go.

I bought it used from a member here (Rapid Coffee - who BTW is the inventor of the Weiss Distribution Technique) about 5 years ago.  It's been a great little grinder and I can still get it dialed in, but I can tell the burrs are starting to show their age and are about ready to be replaced.  Brand new the grinder sells for around $230, but if I can just change the burrs out for $40 or so, I'd obviously rather go that route...

Have you tried 1st-line.net?

I did, but when I emailed them to check compatibility, they could not confirm that any of those burrs you linked to would actually work on my Lux.  I may have to just take a shot in the dark and see if they work and if not, I guess I can always try returning them.  Thanks for the help anyway though....

Thanks Mike.  Man, for $85.00 I may have to reconsider and start saving for a Macap though...   :o

You're welcome.

Yeah ... I hear you.  Have you considered a used commercial grinder.  You should be able to pick one up in the 2-3 hundred dollar range.  For example my La Cimbali Jr replacement burrs go for around $30.00 plus shipping.  The quality of the thing is amazing.

Just a suggestion.
