Thermos Sipp Tumbler

Stocking stuffer:  The Czarina grabbed this 16-oz tumbler by Thermos and swears by it.  Keeps drink extremely hot.  Simple one-button push to open for sipping and push again and it is locked.  Double-walled stainless steel.  No BPA.

I was deep into locating a tumbler for my wife so she would give up on the open top plastic cup while driving. I stumbled on this one and it had all the makings of a good one.

Small enough to fit in a cup holder
16oz
Vaccuum walled
Stainless construction.
Servicable top that can be cleaned.

Only issue reported was that it can be hard to determine the correct side to drink from and if you get it wrong it pours the drink on your face.

When the wife's out shopping grab it and set up a traveling road show & drawing. Heck, she probably won't even miss it?

Spills coffee on your face if your driving and not paying attention...

We discussed your comments while doing the dishes.  "What?  What ARE those guys doing. You drink from the cup. You sip(p) by putting the edge to your lips.  Then it goes down your gullet."

No problems in Wisconsin.

I am just repeating what the Amazon reviewers wrote. Never used it myself.

I can do significant damage to the relationship without your encouragement, thanks (grins).

I have a thermos to go cup similar to this and the first time I used it I scalded the crap out of my mouth. It keeps the coffee very hot for a long time! I no longer use it because I like to drink my coffee on the way to work and I couldn't because it was too hot.

I only see three problems with this tumbler (for me):

  • Keeps the coffee extremely hot
  • Stainless Steel (affects taste of delicate washed coffees for me)
  • Spills coffee on your face if your driving and not paying attention
Other than that, it looks great!   :o

Doh, ALWAYS pay attention while you're driving!
