...I will reserve my judgement of the collection jar at the bottom. It doesn't look as sturdy as I was thinking.

Problem solved, no? Now you'll be getting glass.

The bit in his post where Doug said they ground beans in the nude was a mental picture I could have done without at 5.30am ... <grins>

We're getting closer.  Doug, on H-B:

" . .  .  we are happy with everything but the delay on those padded bags but not much longer now. During this hiatus we have basically worked out the final assembly (for us) and find that it will be manageable for us to hand build them without being buried in the project any more than we already are. The alignment of the burr is permanent and need not ever be changed, but there is a simple build instruction to break it all down and put it back together again (but not any real reason to do this). We have come up with some simple tools to include to try and make sure that this one is user friendly right out of the box and are finishing up the instruction manual, which will be fairly minimal as the use of the LIDO will be pretty obvious. . . "

Monday delivery for the bags. This is getting close!

I almost don't want to wait and order one to replace my porlex for work.

Sweet! Hey, did you ever hear back about your request for a low serial number? I'm guessing not.

I think it is 4 days from Idaho, then would be Monday arrival.  Will know once Mr Brown scans the pkg at the Garrott's.

There's a drive bit available for the Lido on the OE web site in case you're grinding for a pot. Similar to what I came up with for the Pharos, but simpler. Mine was a coupling nut with a hex head cap bolt, which had three parts, the OE version has only two parts and should work on the Pharos as well.

Are you all planning to slip samples of your own home-roasted coffee into the box for whoever is next in line during this road show to try? Seems like it would be fun and just plain right to do so given that it's a grinder touring the country! ;)

OK, with the day off and Mr Brown making an early stop, here we go.  Awoke from a nap on a rainy day and a good mystery, Lee Child, _Killing Floor_, and look what we had ---
