Pending arrival, it was supposed to arrive yesterday and now today. Ups guy stopped at the house but couldn't find it on the truck....

I hope this is the only delivery drama I get.

Yup, looks like a water feed. I bought a flojet today since the water won't be fun in the expected location. I already feel like I need to run a dedicated 30 amp line. Not looking forward to that part but the result should be worth it.

So it's 110V?  Cool!  Hm, looking up a little info on it ... not that I found much, but it looks like this would be new, or pretty near new.   Sweet.

So, It arrived today in what looked more like a ball than a box. Lever handle was of course poking through the side..

It is clear it was shipped on its side and that also meant that the shipper didn't drain the boiler and the side was wet.
So far the damage is 1 possibly 2 side panels, cup warming tray and the lever handle.

The inside of the machine is packed with packing peanuts and it is missing screws that hold the side panels and cup warming tray on.
My guess is that I am looking at $400 in damage so far.

I wasn't sure till it arrived. Time to see about running some 220v.

Inside looks clean.

That's gotta be disappointing.  Hope you get it settled, and up and running soon.

Sorry to hear that SYP.

Maybe you can go after the vendor for not carrying out your agreement. You did have this all down in writing ... right?

That really bites and is why I don't buy stuff like espresso machines from ebay.... only local pickup for big items... that's my rule.

But you live in a climate where used espresso machines grow on trees.

Sheesh, I wish there was a lever within 3-4 states from me!

This is how it came btw.

Full assessment revealed:
Cracked left side panel (power coated aluminum) Estimated ~$130
Bent top cup warming tray
Bent back cover (dents and a puled in corner) Unknown cost
Scuffed right panel
Scuffed handle due to leaving it attached to the group during shipping!
Missing screws for top cup warmer.

I have yet to plug it in or hook it up to water.

Inexcusable.  UPS can absolve itself. That kind of packaging for that item.  Ridiculous.
