I figured I would make a new thread for this as the original post is buried in the Yama Q/A thread.
I am offering up a Cory glass rod for a randomly drawn GCBC past/present/future vac pot user.
Shoot me a PM if you would like to be included.
Deadline is noon on the 4th, sometime after that I'll pick a name.
Good Luck!
Rich

What about a "future" vacpot user? ;D

Fixed.

Using random.org with a total 10 entrants the winner is John F.

FAaaaaaantastic! ;D ;D
The last time I won a contest I entered was 4 tickets to an advance screening of the Movie Casino.
I guess I had broken a mirror or 2 between now and then but this can only mean my lucky streak has officially re-begun.
Sweet!

You're saying the whole thing was fixed?!

:-[ Oh well, I just shattered my last vac top, anyhow. :-[ :-[ We just moved into a temp[orary place, and the tile counters are very hard. Now, I have to find replacements for both my classic Hario and the Nouveau before I can even try using a Cory rod.

;D ;D ;D Avenue18 is wonderful! I just received my replacement Nouveau and classic upper bowls from them, and had siphon coffee this morning. The cost is similar to that in Taiwan, except I had to drop 20CAD on shipping. Oh, well... I'm back in the game, again!
And now, for a glass filter.

I got home to find a box with my spiffy Cory rod inside awaiting me to put it in service.
As soon as I get a chance I'll follow up but it sure is fun to come home to find new coffee gear. ;D
Thanks!!

I got a chance to take the Cory for a spin today and I gotta say that I love it.
I didn't get any sediment or trouble with it and the cup is tasty.
The only thing that did worry me was that the rod jumped towards the end of the uptake enough that I heard it clink. :o It didn't appear to let any grounds dump or anything so I guess all is well.
Thanks Rich this has been my favorite GCBC raffle so far. ;D ;D ;D
