Waring Pro Vacuum Sealer $29.91 @Sam's Club

Sam's Club has a hand held vacuum sealer on clearance  - normally about $70

I wonder if it's any different than the Reynolds that I have?

I have no idea how well the Waring works, it appeared to be well made and solid.  It is rechargeable so no battery replacement.  I didn't purchase one, just noticed it was marked down, hand held, and was wishing my foodsaver was hand held.  The Waring does not appear to have attachments for jars. I prefer to vacuum green beans in mason jars.  If I were looking for an inexpensive vacuum sealer - this seems to be a decent buy.

How well do these work?

They do a good job; the weakness is in the one-way valve used. I use Ziplok bags for freezing green beans, and I've had a few leaks - which just means those beans get used first.

For jars and serious sealing I use the big Food Saver.

I use the Reynolds Handivac units for my roasted coffee bags. Its nozzle fits the one way valves perfectly. I'm heading to Sam's Club this evening. I may see if they have one of those units.
