Here is my new coffee bar. I bought this Faima Smart for $23 2 years ago, and have been working on it off and on for that time. It was sold at an commercial auction site as an parts machine. And it was a mess, lots of parts missing, side pannels busted. Roaches filled the electrical box. I think it was in kitchen as greese was baked on. it turns out the capacitor went out ont the pump and some machanic ripped it apart trying to find out what was busted. The fill solinoid was missing, key pad busted off. It was not a great deal, by the time I got all the parts I needed I could have bought it running. Everything was done by me, powder coated the frame, polished the stainless, rewelded the crackes in the side panels. I build the cabnet it sits on, made the counter top, installed the sink, wired and ran the pipes. Its nice to be in rural Ohio where there are no inspectors to deal with. Had my first espresso this morning and it was good. I did have to get a bigger pitcher, with that big steam wand milk went everywhere with the pitcher I use on the Silvia. One advice I will give out is do not buy an espresso machine to fix if parts are missing, they are hard to find. I ended up using a company in Australia call Cafe Parts, they seemed to have all the parts for this machine. On a side note I found out its not "our" kitchen becouse the wife said you are not going to put that in "my" kitchen. You are not going to drill "my" countertops. I ended up putting it in my basement.
