Oh boy, better keep this quiet. I don't know who the experts were, but definitely not from this crowd!

Yeah it would be nice if they had made their limit $100 as oppose to $50. I have a feeling that it might have produced some different results. Because if they are using the only burr grinders I know in that price the screaming banshee tiny flat burr grinders I pretty much agree with their results. With the $100 limit I believe they would have came away with different results.

Two questions come to mind.

What brewer were the using?
What coffee were the using?

If *$ and a black an oster coffee maker.  A better grind would probable bring the crappyness of the coffee out.  If water temp was too low a whipped grind might actually taste better.

What they should have done is compare it to top end gear and use 90+ coffee.

The reviews here at GCBC are probably way more scientific and accurate for a coffee lover.
