Found a 10 cup melitta at goodwill and had to at least try it.

Found it location wise at a goodwill store  found it flavor wise AWESOME 

My first attempt at a pour over. I don't have a fancy kettle or anything but I did my best with my regular tea pot. Made a delicious pot of coffee. At least as good as the technivorm.

If you have a cotter pin laying around, medium-sized, maybe 1/8 x 1, you can open it up just a little and slide it over the spout of your tea kettle.  You'll find the water leaves the spout in a vastly more controlled manner.

Cotter pin you say? I have a plethora of them at work. Probably stainless steel ones at that. It's always fun plying with new extraction methods.

Yeah I guess the price point is nice. But a good drip machine is great when there is no time for coffee prep.
