I use half and half for iced coffee.  Toddy concentrate, cream, sugar, and maybe flavored syrup.  That mix gets whipped with a battery-frother-thingamajig, then ice cubes, and it's ready.  The beauty of the Toddy or your Yama is that the coffee is cold; steaming the milk would mean more ice would have to be added, which IMHO dilutes it more than you want.

I wonder how close your formula is to the Vietnamese iced coffee I used to love? It was sweet & thick, and a frosty glass of it made 100°F weather seem 20°F cooler. I seem to remember sweetened condensed milk being used?

Ya, it drips over condensed milk, then poured over ice.

I believe most Vietnamese (at least the ones Ive seen) coffee has a measure of Chicory blended in.

I use a pretty coarse grind in my toddy maker, but it has a rubber plug in the bottom and you let the slurry sit overnight and then pull the plug. But I'm with you; I don't particularly care for cold brewed coffee. Tastes "swampy" to me. I'd much rather have an iced coffee made with an Aeropress.

I feel the same about "sun tea". It takes heat to extract the deeper flavor compounds in both. A friend gave me one of these for Xmas a long time ago because I'd been telling her how grandma used to make cold-brewed coffee. I tried it a few times and decided it wasn't for me.

On the positive side: This thread has triggered me & Mrs T to go through my junk to clear out some the stuff I'll never use and call a charity to come pick it all up. Let's see: coffee toddy: check, Mr Coffee: check, Bodum electric vac pot: check, a handful of press pots: check, whirly blade grinder by the basket full: check, Baratza Maestro: check, and the list goes on. It ought to make a nice deduction when I do taxes next April! ;D

Don't worry; if it's between you and me, I think Tex will sell the grinder to the one that's not me.   ;D

Nope, it's all going to charity. It's a bunch of junk I bought to try and didn't use more than a week or two. I used to have a Melitta Clarity and extra carafe but I swapped them for beans. That was too much trouble, so now I just call a charity and but everything in a bag for them.

I need to get into the garage and go through everything - I know there's a nice Futurmat grinder and a Rancilio MD50 that I just need to reassemble. I just have too much crap out there!
