Also remember the Hario uses special filters, whereas the filters for the Beehouse can be purchase almost anywhere.

...although a deft fold of a Melitta will work both for Hario and Chemex. It's asymmetric, but what the heck.

yields interesting alternative approaches.     :P

I'd do that fold but I'd have to snip off that tab up top... I couldn't let it stay.

There's a little shard on the scissors. You didn't lose that somewhere when re-stowing the scissors, did you?      ;)

I wanna see someone Photoshop Pedro's face into that filter.    ;D

What'cha doing folding a filter into a cone?  You just bought the Beehouse which takes the \_/ filter rather than a folded \/.

You realize what you just did, don't you?  Now the hordes will follow suit and think they have to start trimming their filters.   :(

I suggest they also fold on seams and take the creases out.  8)

The filter does look good right?

It's the most gorgeous filter I've ever seen.  Amongst paper filters, that is.

That was anything but a 90* fold.  Back the truck up if you are going to post and crow.

I've only had the Beehouse for a week....perfecting these things take time.

Susan,
It's funny, but ever since making this comment about the three cup Chemex, I've seen more and more positive references to this brewer on Twitter.  I don't even remember now where I heard that the three cupper was less than stellar.  I could have gone for one of these instead of the Kalita Wave I have at work.
I'm glad we had this dialog, it's opened my mind and I'll have to look for an opportunity to try one out myself someday.

I'm glad to hear that, because I was having a hard time faulting it's performance.
Since the arrival of the SAMA, however, pourover gizmos have fallen to the bottom of the toy pile....:-))))
It will probably take the arrival of Spring to pull the Behmor out and start again on the pourovers that follow naturally after that.

Right now I'm in SAMA/Export heaven...:-))))
