Now this one might be a tad big, right? It almost dwarfs my Kitchenaid  mixer, and it's humongous.

It's a La Pavoni ZIP that I picked up to use with the PV Lusso that's coming in tomorrow. I didn't want to mess up the settings on my regular espresso grinder while I play around with the lever machine.

I used to have a ZIP, but I'd forgotten how BIG they are!

Is the shoulder going to make it yanking on that lever or are you going to be making double caramel cappuccinos with whip cream and Advil sprinkles on top?

They are big, but they grind really well.

I stripped it for a complete grind chamber/grounds hopper cleanout. The burrs are practically new, so I'm expecting great results.

Milo, do you still have your ZIP? Does it seem almost as quiet as your Santo? It seems a lot quieter than the MD 50, which I thought was pretty quiet.

I do have the zip still, it's the cabin grinder.  Mine is terribly noisy but grinds well, especially in comparison with the Santos which is whisper quiet.  The zip grinds a better fluffy grind in about 1/3 the time as my Santos.   I've not replaced the burrs in the Santos and was thinking the other day I need to do that soon.

but if noise isn't a high priority I'd recommend a zip to anyone.
