Damn, I was hoping it was modeled after the dipping bird fountain toy. Have the water in the carafe until it achieves a preset temp, then it tips over and slowly pours into the filter.

Coffee gear is expensive in that country but still that price is double what a Technivorm 8 cup glass carafe model sells for over there.

It does look awesome though.

How so? That's the manual version, a pourover set-up with integrated scale. Nice, but not the same as the Presisjon auto-drip.

I almost drove myself crazy reading reviews and trying to make this same decision last month. Between the imploding Bonavita carafes and the water retention issue with the Brazen I decided to hold off. It appears the Brazen issue has been solved and can be prevented by regular maintenance or using soft water. I read in the Brazen thread on CG that Joe is working on a discount for Brazen owners on zero water pitchers.

Yeah, for approx 8hrs I was going back and forth between the Brazen, Bonavita, Bunn Trifecta MB and the Bodum Bistro. I'm sure any of them would have been excellent choices but like any product where I have limited time to choose it was a case of overlooking their positives and focusing on their negatives (for our household). It was a tough decision and that's why I limited myself to a 24hr period to pull the trigger. I read every single review and watched every single video I could get my Internet hands on. Not an easy decision.
