12 cup moka pot
« on: March 16, 2013, 10:06:51 AM »
Has anyone ever used one of the 12-cup stainless steel moka pots?

It is clear to me that my stainless steel 6-cup and now the new aerolatte porcellana make the coffee that I like the best.
Their only drawback is the small size of the output.

If I were confident that a 12-cup would do as good a job, I would invest in one for those very few occasions when I have guests.  There are only a couple of companies that make a 12-cup (Veg Vigano is one;  I forget the other, maybe Stella).

Any input?

Before starting of the roasting of beans and pro or semi pro coffee equipment that  is what we used to use.

We  had various sizes and they all work pretty similar.

The larger ones hold more water and coffee so take a little longer to brew.

I think you will like it just like the one you have.

Thanks, mp.
I think I'm going to return this Aerolatte Caffe Porcellana (which is only a 4-cup, which means 1 cup) and spend the extra to get a good 12 cupper.
