I stumbled across this Yahoo Group the other day: vacuumcoffeepotcollector


Not a lot of chatter in the group, but the site is a wealth of info. I'm just starting to go through the photo galleries (there are a lot of them).  I've come across some pretty amazing photos of old, rare vac pots and vac pot memorabilia.

We certainly all have our faults ... I will say that Robert (Tex) was very helpful in helping me starting my espresso journey and took time out to write me detailed emails to help me with all my questions.  He has great patience and has offered his time generously with me and many others that I know of on the path to coffee extraction knowledge.

I know you meant that in good fun.

Yeah ol' Tex is just a great big espresso drinkin' teddy bear.  He gave me a lot of hints and advice when I started out in espresso too!  And it was much appreciated, even if JohnF didn't always agree with the advice he was giving!  One thing that I appreciate about Tex is that he can dish it but he can also take it!!

Yeah ... he loves to offer help very graciously.  This club's membership certainly has some colorful members who do not lack any opinions and often times the results can be seen in the hot topic threads and sometimes in others.

I agree ... Robert can dish it out and take it just as well as he dishes it.
