I got to thinking about the incident yesterday... in a way I wish I'd simply donated $50 to Coffee Kids rather than experimented with the vacpot. Anyway, as I was running this morning, an idea came to me: why not share some of my good luck? After all, when you see this broken pot and realize it was about 18 inches away and nary a drop of blood was shed, well, I'd say there was a lot of luck surrounding this pot. Now I know it won't sell on ebay without some sort of image of the Virgin Mary there, but I wonder if anyone would be interested in donating $5 to Coffee Kids; I'm thinking there'd be some good luck in it for you. Plus, at the end of the week, I'll gather up all the names of those who've sent to CK and I'll draw one from a hat (an Amish straw hat) and will send the surviving cory rod to the winner.

Edit: removed Melitta for lack of interest (surprisingly)—no additional donations since I put it on the offering.

I'll start it off by going here (link below) and sending $5 to CK.

Okey dokey, now step right up, folks, and take a lesson from the esteemed Bold Java, who knows how to court the good luck. FIVE tickets in da hat, folks, and he already has a cory or two up his sleeve.

Thanks, your boldness.

My car is thump-thump-thumping, so I've got some good luck coming my way... A couple extra tickets wouldn't hurt either. In fact they do good whether I benefit or not! Great idea!

Okee dokee, I've made the drawing, using a real Amish hat! All 17 slips of paper were folded the same. And the winner is—drumroll—

bobvilax2000 (please let me know your mailing address)

 :occasion14:

I am certain that your three are getting some extra points in heaven, along with some yama good luck!

Thanks again for contributing to CK; it helped.

Whoo! I got a new car AND the cory. I think I'll need the cory luck, I've been getting some slooow draw downs lately. Message on its way.

Seriously, pm, this was a great offer.
