The listing does say the machine is different than the one shown - but for $200 it's hard to see a down side?

If this is the case then it will not elevate him in espresso rankings but would provide him with a very decent vacuum cup of coffee.

Shoot, this is so mine.  Peter's feet don't hit the floor until his dog barks to be let out the back door at 9:00 am.  By then, I will have the dryer unplugged, with this bad boy sitting on top of it and me working on my second cappuccino.
