Aquabrew/Cafejo Pourover Brewer(s)
« on: December 07, 2009, 05:19:38 PM »
As said in the Newco thread, I ordered the Aquabrew TE-118
on 12/01/09 and received it today-MINUS the SteelVac pot.
Not happy but called Aquabrew (Patty) who when I reminded
her of our several interrupted calls said that they would send
it out today. Also asked if there were any quirks I should know
about re this brewer-she said she didn't think so but to be sure
to call them if I had any question(s)/problem(s).

She also took care of a couple of accounting problems due to me
ordering by phone and not the internet which they would prefer.

This brewer is BIG and definitely commercial in design so the TE-116
may be a better choice if counterspace is at a premium or cabinets
are low.  It comes with a 8.5X11 3 hole punched "Operations and
Service Manual" which includes a wiring diagram. an "illustrated parts
break down" sheet and a parts list.  It also comes with a unmarked
48oz "pourpitcher".

Well, I'm sure I've bored the hell out anyone who's read this--but
it irritated me that there is really no info on this brewer--at least
I couldn't find any.  Already have several suggestions/thoughts
which I think would improve the usability and friendliness of this
brewer but will wait until I use the 'damn thing"(sounding hostile
already)did I mention how BIG it is ;-)   Later
