Title: Able Brewing Scale

Able Brewing (who make the Kone filter) are selling an Elite Scale 1000 (http://ablebrewing.com/collections/products#elite-scale-1000) on their site.  I caught some tweets today stating that the heat of the brew vessel is causing these scales to malfunction.

Some recommended felt, mouse pads, or cork as a workaround, may apply to other scales you already own and use.  Made by Elite Scales.

I guess Keith didn't test out a few of the scales from that batch before he gave the green light to ship? Eager beaver. IIRC he said that Mark Prince told him about the heat issue.

Tough decisions ahead for a little company.  Bummer.  Hopefully it was just 500-1000 scales.
