Title: Melitta AromaRoast
Post by: Batman on July 31, 2018, 06:16:35 PM
Found a neat little gem called the Melitta AromaRoast while killing a quick minute in the local GW this past weekend.  Never been used and had the original manual taped on top.  Quick look at it tells me it's probably not anything special over a regular popcorn popper except the nifty catch screen that mounts on top.  1000W rating.

From a historical perspective, would this have been one of the first attempts at bringing home roasting to the regular Joe?  Seems like these were produced in the early 80s.

I'll try attaching a couple pictures, so hopefully these show up.

Never heard of it, but very cool.  A piece of history?  Fun. Congrats!

I am familiar with it.  It came out in the early 80's, worked poorly and was more prone to bake than roast the coffee.  It was pulled from the market fairly quickly.
