Well today I got the new grinder setup, which needed a call to tech support to tell me to pull the decal off of the screen. i thought the controls were not responding. My findings: The Breville needs to be set to the finest grind possible to get a brew time of 25 seconds on my Gaggia Classic. Also, I was getting about the same effect with the Capresso set between extra fine and fine. Not as close steps but the brew time was about the same. I think the Crema might be a bit thicker with the Brevia, but the tamping is a lot less fussy. I am still having a problem with the puck floating out of the portafilter and sticking to the base of the Gaggia. I have to wipe it off with a paper towel. Don't know what causes that. Coffee taste is very good using Red Bird beans that are still fresh.
