Used Capresso MT-500?

Hi All:

Somebody locally is selling a Capresso MT500. Are there any "gotchas" I need to look out for? He is asking $60. Is that a decent price? Other comments? I haven't seen the condition but wanted to see if there was anything to look for from previous owners.....

I have one that I picked up used - it is a great coffee maker that sold for $99 - $149 retail.

It is a really good product that heats water to the proper temperrature for good brewing. The only caveot is that I needed to preheat the carafe using hot water. Otherwise it soaks up all the heat from the coffee and it's too cool to enjoy.

I am torn between getting the MT500 or spending the extra dollars for the Brazen. Still thinking about it....

We rarely use the Capresso MT500 anymore though it is a good product and serves the purpose of making an excellent half or full pot of coffee with little fuss. If it were me at this time I would spend the $$ on the Brazen as it appears it might be a next generation breakthrough type of product.
