Bunn G3 Problems - Anyone ever fix a similiar problem

Bunn G3 grinder intermittently gets noisy, slows down and doesn't grind. I used to think it was a bean wedged into the burr because turning the grind selector knob would get it to go again. But now I see it even happens with the burr and knob are off the machine. This is a unit used for farmers markets so it gets moved around and put on its side alot that usually works perfectly but on occasion would turn but sound funny and not grind- but it always came back by jiggling slamming or opening and cleaning- but today it just gave me a couple of grinds- Anybody ever see this? the intermitten part is what gives me hope it may be an errant bean or quake in the motor if not by the burrs - but its odd the motor spins freely when its not on and there is a lot I don't know about electric motors.- nay ideas on service in the NY, West Jersey or Philly area?
