Someone asked me what's available in small, stand-alone electric steamers? There are of course many commercial steamers to choose from, but for home use I settled on a Cook's Essential Cappuccino Frother. I don't know if these are still available or not, but I modded mine by discarding the sleeve and plugging the hole in the plastic tip and redrilling it. It now steams like a monster and does everything I need.
