RE: Damp Towel - I do it .. and not yet  ???

*edit: And isn't the towel used to Decrease pressure?

I tried it once and chickened out. I just grind coarser and live to make coffee another day. 8) Besides, most of my vac pots are Silex - too expensive to risk it!

Correct, it is to lower the pressure - that was my 1st brain fart today!

I'm rocking the Yama, and if it did implode, I'd still cry.

But I really enjoy caressing the pot during the drawdown... it's a little weird.

Fuel capacity is 40 gms (1 to 2 hrs/fill).... I wonder if the Butane refills you get for lighters would work to refill this?

Do I feel a group buy coming on?

And that's their biggest problem - limited fuel supply! I use a butane burner for my Yama tabletop vac put, and these refill cartridges.

From the link you provided for the burner, they sell butane refills, too. 9.75 lbs of butane [(12x13oz)/16 for the math impaired...] for $70.94. That works out to $7.28/lb. Much cheaper than the Amazon link @ $13.50/lb. Oh, and forgot to add in the $14.42 shipping for the Amazon link...
I make serious coffee. So strong it wakes up the neighbors.

Yes, it's a lot cheaper from the sci store.. I think I figured it out to .016 per 5 minute burn (less shipping).
