Title: China-made espresso maker
Post by: BobTimo on February 16, 2009, 03:27:53 PM
Anybody familiar with this machine?

A friend in Manila chanced upon this, selling at about US$100, and there are 2 of them. He's planning to get one. I'm considering this, too, but worried coz there's not much information on this on the web. I was hoping it's Italian made, but it's not.

I'd like to see one of these too. It looks OK based on the specs, but they're written by marketing & legal types - I'd have to see what the engineering is like.

I thought it looked more like the Espressione Retro (http://www.everythingkitchens.com/espressione_cafe_retro_espresso_machine_1385.html).

I like the looks of the second one... but does it make good coffee???

my offer stands to be the GCBC splash test dummy   :tard:

Designed by the Italian engineer, similar with Francis, Francis X1machines

I am not quite sure if the Italian engineer was the one that designed the Francis Francis, or just that they both were Italian.

Looks like it's also marketed as the Lumina Signature.
