friend asking about old coffee grinder

A friend of mine purchased this old grinder at a garage sale. He asked me if I knew anything about it, and honestly, I don't. Has anyone seen or used one of these machines before?

He was interested in using it to mill grains for his beer brewing hobby. Otherwise, he was going to sell it.

Tell him to run some grains through it, then he'll know.   :)
