BTW - the ES-1AF that SRE has is a real oddball. It has an internal milk frothing device that I'd like to get my hands on just to take apart.

Well, the Long Island machine should be here the 25th.  From what the seller told me, this thing was basically just rebuilt.  New brain box, boiler (would explain why it looks so clean in the photos), and general all-around serviced.   :o

Hmm ... sounds like you will get an operative machine with no work needing to be done on it.
