IF the burrs are new, it's a very good price. You've had yours for how long now Mike - two years, three? I haven't heard any complaints from you yet. Didn't you have an MDF before the Jr?

No sir ... you had an MDF that you were going to sell me and I was frantically looking for a used commercial grinder when this La Cimbali became available.  I think it has been over 2 years now and it was the best piece of espresso equipment I purchased ... thanks to your advise.

This Junior is now at $200 on ebay for those on the lookout for one. I snagged a Cunill Brasil the other day for less than $250 almost new so I am out of this auction.  ;D

Congrats on snagging the Brasil (a Tranquilo w/plastic housing). You won't regret it - the Cunill's are built like tanks!

Thanks! I was actually looking at a cheaper alternative - the Capresso Infinity, but your favorable comments on Cunills sold me on the Brasil. I bought the Brasil for a friend who has been using a Zass hand grinder for espresso, but depending on how it tests against my Macap M4, I might just keep the Brasil and sell the M4 instead!  ;D

They dropped the asking price to $225, wonder if they are having a hard time getting rid of it. I think I will call on this tomorrow.

I love Craigslist!!  A couple weeks ago I picked up an Astoria grinder.  It's a rebadged Mazzer Super Jolly.  I got it for $80, cleaned it up (looked like the guy used coffee syrups in his beans  ???), threw in some new burrs and it's as good as new!!

With new burrs and $60.00 ... yeah ... that would be an outstanding acquisition.  La Cimbali is a very high quality grinder with a stepless setting.

Looks like someone got to this yesterday, he has a sale pending. He sounds like a pretty nice guy, and a fellow coffee addict, he bought a newer/larger grinder for himself (forgot to ask which one).

I am on my way to making good espresso at home, was finally able to meet with this guy and worked out a deal for a little less than he was asking for it.
