Very nice work on the intro. Everything it should be for the club!
It is a nifty little machine. How well do you think it would do, in regards to weight, size and functionality, with something like hiking the Appalachian Trail?
Wouldn't be my first choice for Backpacking the PCT or Appalachian. Of the travel espresso machines I tested for Backpacking:
1. Minipresso- best for weight and comes with its own cup, packs into itself.
cons- might break if dropped etc..
2. Handpresso, Heavier but still light, compact enough, better espresso, A bit bulky but would work, no built in cup.
3. Nomad- Best espresso - beats the Handpresso in that regard, Light enough, strong enough, bulky and no real way to break it down or pack it conveniently without sacrificing food, or clothing etc.. No provided cup. The way the pump pulls the shot is amazing!, I think it could be revolutionary if it was taken seriously. A real alternative to the lever vs. Pump.
So for Hiking it really comes down to Minipresso for me. I plan on writing more detailed reviews, so you don't have to pay attention to all my thoughts on video.
Best Car Camping espresso or if you have enough room in your suitcase for hotel espresso etc...Nomad. If you need an all around convenient, high quality, easily packed and basically meets a lot of needs I think the Handpresso is perfect.
