Wow is right!  Glad I didn't wait for this as the price is insane imo.  Very cool looking though.

You could pay $5,800 or set up a 10 man roadshow - $580 plus shipping each...

I wonder how long it would take you to get 10 people for that.

How about 1,000 entrants at $5.80 each? The winner will receive a 20 year old Hottop that has roasted a couple tons - should be worth $5.80 after that run...

Hey Eric, considering the new GCBC policy, I thought you might want to get your signature with the program ...  ;D

Wondering if it is worth a shot at getting a group buy?  Michael was receptive to it the last time.  What price would we shoot for????

(intrigued by the new hottop in Benbrook, Texas)

ps.  I am home and glad to be here.

Let's say they knocked $500 off the price...  would that get enough people to plop down $5300?  Or, if they knocked $1000 off, how many are going to be interested at $4800?

If $5800 is full retail, and the dealers are doing the classic "keystone", maybe with a large commitment we could get a group buy going at the wholesale price...(probably around 3 grand shipped). Hmmmmmnnnn? Anyone ready for something like this? I sure hope Hottop has not priced itself out of the market.

It will be interesting to watch price.  Chatter on H-B suggests that the price was leaked to get a reaction.  It has done that and you can imagine the blow-back.

I emailed HT last Monday trying to confirm the $5,800 price tag. I haven't received a response which is abnormal for HT they are usually very responsive.
