gralab 450 instructions

So the pedal gizmo arrived yesterday and has way more buttons than I had imagined.  Of course it has no instructions, and of course when I Googled them, the PDF document wasn't readable, so.....

Now what do I do??

(As an aside, I have been using the stopgap method of brushing the grinds while the K-10 was running and feeling very smug about it until....this morning it spit the top of the toothbrush and a wad of its bristles into the hopper....)

I will be home in a bit to look at mine and give you my settings but I do know that I don't have a (foot) pedal. I simply plugged it in a wall socket and plugged the grinder into the unit. I then set for seconds and turned the upper left dial to 7 and I think I might have the right hand dial at 5 whcih would be 0.5 seconds more. To start the grinder I hit the bar. If I want to stop it less than 7.5 seconds I hit the bar a second time. That's all there is to it but make sure your grinder switch is set to on.

Let me know if there is anything you need. I can send you photos of my setting or talk you through it if you need.

But....I am embarrassed to say that I assumed you set it, put it on the floor and it was its own foot pedal....
Now I see the plug on the back that says "foot pedal"...

Very weird.  I am using Adobe Reader and still get nothing but a blank black page.

There must be a separate plug-in to put in that foot switch adaptor. Ignore it.

Plug your grinder into the plug in the back and turn small switch to on position. Make sure the grinder is on as well.

push the secs button - it should light up in the corner
Push the Hi switch - it should light up in the corner
Push tone switch below
Push outlet time switch below

Set knob on the left to zero and the one on the right to 7.
Press the start/reset switch - grinder should go for 7 seconds and then stop. This is perfect for an 18 gm dose on my K10.
DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING AGAIN UNLESS YOU WANT TO VARY FROM 7 SEC PULSE. You can do less than 7 sec by simply pressing the bar a second time to end the grinding.

Absotutely.

In the morning I will put beans in and see if maybe (since I only grind 16.5 grams) I want to shorten the time, but....it goes on, counts down, goes off....just like it's 'sposed to :-))))  Amazing....:-)))
